Suicide at Pune Vidya Bhavan
Did u all read that piece of news? Xth std gal..caught copying? got to rush.... but pls post comments abt yr impressions of the case....
This is evidently an incident that such shock us all out of our apathy. Children must be dealt with sensitively. The situation today is definitely not what it was in the time of our parents where strict discipline and controls were the main form for the upbringing of children. Support systems were stronger then, families were larger and bonding between relatives was much stronger. So even if a child had a prblem with one or both parents he/she still had the option of seeking support from others within his/her family. Today, that is not the case with single parent families and nuclear families. Materialism is taught and practiced with great efficasy and children never learn how to face hardships as a consequence they are emotional fragile nd become susceptable to such drastic changes of mood which lead to suicide at the slightest provocation.
J; The teachers need to be sentisised...they treat students like some sort of commodity....the way they approach education is so insensitive....just today i attended a seminar where the student trainees felt that it was ok for teachers to identify the cream of the class and coach them differently so they can bring home the awards for the school...now what abt the other kids?arent we creating a big divide?
